Roy & Merlijn

Interview with Roy Voragen by Merlijn Huntjens a few weeks after his stay in the residency of Greylight Projects in Hoensbroek.

Roy Voragen (Heerlen, 1974) is a poet, writer and curator. He studied political science and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, after his graduation, in 2003, he moved to Indonesia, in 2017 he moved to the the Philippines and in late 2019 he returned to the Netherlands. He is curator and editor at Manila-based research and publishing lab Kwago (https://isipkwago.carrd.co/). As a poet, he focuses on the materialities and embodiment of languages. He tries – and fails – to make silence stutter into contradictory multitudes.
